EP On Sale

Some of you have now bought the No More Stories EP that is available digitally on iTunes and also in physical form. Fans will probably prefer the actual cd that can be found from many online stores, for example Recordshop X in Finland. They ship worldwide with affordable shipping and handling costs and have told us that they should have plenty of copies to sell. Note that this is still quite a limited edition, so be fast in order to make sure you’ll get your own copy.

Mew have just played two support shows for Kings of Leon in Germany and some attendees have claimed that the show in Berlin (on June 27th) lasted approximately 50 minutes. That is one long support slot, don’t you think? Surely the shows with Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction are going to be shorter. The following setlist was posted at Mewsite’s forum:

New Terrain / Introducing Palace Players / Circuitry of the Wolf / Chinaberry Tree / Special / The Zookeeper’s Boy / White Lips Kissed / Sometimes Life Isn’t Easy / Snow Brigade / Comforting Sounds

Mew have often not used their backdrops when supporting, the animations might draw too much attention from the main act. They were not in use when supporting Kings of Leon and may not be used tonight and tomorrow evening when NIN are the main act (also in Germany). Speaking of Nine Inch Nails, Trent Reznor tweeted about Mew today: “We are playing with Mew tonight – I love these guys and have never got to see them live. Very much looking forward to this!” and “Mew sent me a copy of their new record and it’s really excellent. Very unusual and unexpected – a real “grower”.

  1. The EP’s great. I’m loving it! Start is wonderful and frankly, it’s worth it just for Swimmer’s Chant. As good as, and sometimes better, than anything that Mew has ever done, that song is.

  2. How come he gets an early copy of the record!! 🙁 I’d let you open for my band any time, if it was a major huge band without getting an early copy of your record, but I’m jealous. I bet he was not waiting for your new album for years! But anyways, loving the EP!
