Seriously speaking, I was really afraid that Mew changed their sound to something I can’t connect to because some of my fav bands in the past happened to be like this. I honestly couldn’t get IPP even after numerous times of listen. Perhaps I’m not really a fan of the intro, but once after it, I totally can connect again.
After listening to the whole EP, I’m feel completely relieved that Mew has evolved to something even greater and grand (and can still connect to). Awesome! Consistently producing stuffs with standards incomparable.
I wish Mew all the best and success in the future!

My friends and I like Owl a lot… But to each his own. You may not care for it, but plenty of others can and will.

Start is alright in my opinion. Although only one of the b-sides could’ve been album potential.

Swimmer’s Chant is beautiful. And that’s all I have to say for it. <3

The ep is great. I personally am a fan of the b-sides (more experimental, more weird side of Mew that just can’t fit on an album. And that’s saying something.) so I loved this. Start is nice, but Swimmer’s Chant steals the show here.

Also, Repeaterbeater I disliked at first, or at least found it boring. But I enjoy it now! It’s a grower, at least for me.

Cannot wait for the full length (NMSATTISTWANMSTWIGISTWA?), a little surprised it hasn’t leaked yet.
