Mew on American documentary’s soundtrack

Reclaiming the Blade is a documentary film about Medieval steel, written and directed by Daniel McNicoll. The American film about lethal European and Asian swords (and the process of making and using them) is getting its release date domestically in 2009 and the film’s soundtrack is released independently. The soundtrack features music from such acts as Dandy Warhols, My Bloody Valentine and Explosions in the Sky. Naturally, we are curious about Mew‘s first ever appearance on an American film’s soundtrack. The documentary stars Viggo Mortensen, Karl Urban and narrating John-Rhys Davies. All the aforementioned actors played significant roles in the hugely successful Lord of the Rings-trilogy. The man behind the trilogy’s unprecedented weapondry, a multiple Oscar winner Richard Taylor (Weta Workshop) is also in the film. Taking into account that this is one of the most successful trilogies of all time, the documentary is bound to get lots of viewers and therefore Mew should be getting some new fans as well.
